Artist,  author, and disability advocate behind Body Grief®

Jayne Mattingly is an author, artist, and disability advocate who coined the term “Body Grief” after a sudden vision loss at 28 led to brain surgery and diagnoses including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Through vibrant paintings, storytelling, and her Substack This Is Body Grief, she helps people with chronic illness and disability honor their bodies and grief while finding joy, play, and community along the way.

A whimsical, warm, quirky yet empowering system for Jayne Mattingly, spanning her personal identity, her Body Grief® Substack, and her non-profit The AND Initiative, built to feel as vibrant as the community she advocates for.

The Result

Jayne's website feels uniquely, unmistakably HER, which is so important especially when your brand is YOU! It was so fun during launch to watch all of the comments come in about how "Jayne" the branding is!
